At least two people were killed and three others injured after a military helicopter crashed in an Afghan military base in Balkh Province of Afghanistan, RIA Novosti news agency reported citing Pajhwok Afghan News.
The chopper crashed Sunday at 7:30am local time, at Shaheen military camp.
As per a representative of the 209th Shaheen Military Corps, the helicopter belonged to a foreign company, and it was heading toward Faryab Province before it crashed and burned.
According to officials, the chopper went down due to technical malfunction.
