YEREVAN. –  Velvet revolution did not unfold in one day, and Sasna Tsrer played its role in this, said the former deputy of the Artsakh parliament Vahan Badasyan at the congress of the newly established party on Saturday.

“I want to express my respect to all the members from the Sasna Tsrer party and demand the release of all my friends, political prisoners, including Pavlik Manukyan,” said Badasyan, adding that the Sasna Tsrer party should be established in Karabakh, as a symbol of the dream of Artsakh-Armenian unification.

“We must put an end to the actions of the former regime, when Karabakh was represented as a separate unit, which was based on their personal interests,” he said adding “we must have one Armenian state, which will be called the Republic of Armenia. Today, our power is not complete, because there is no parliament, only a legitimate government. The political field was completely destroyed by the former government. At the upcoming parliamentary elections, the national forces will have their place.”

The initiator of the creation of Sasna Tsrer party, Varuzhan Avetisyan, in his turn, also said that the similar party will appear in Karabakh.
