YEREVAN. – Armenian Revolutionary Foundation stands for extraordinary parliamentary elections, but urges not to hurry, head of the ARF faction Armen Rustamyan told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, a number of measures should be taken before the elections, including amendments to the Election Code, changes related to the work of the police, and people should be given an opportunity to adapt to new laws and new conditions.

“If the parliamentary elections are held either in November or December, it will not be elections, but a mechanical vote. All the steps mentioned are important, and time is needed to achieve it,” he added.

According to him, it will take more than a year to solve all the above-mentioned problems.
