The Armenian parliament approved the resignation of Armenian Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.
As reported previously, Armen Harutyunyan handed in a resignation to the Armenian National Assembly on February 1.
Harutyunyan will be appointed Representative of the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia.
