The funeral of former US President George H.W. Bush will take place on December 6, at the grounds of the Presidential Library and Museum in Texas A&M University in College Station, in Texas, RT reported.

As per the announcement posted on the website of this university, Bush will be laid to rest at his family plot near the library.

The Russian embassy in the US had lowered its flag to half-staff to honor ex-President Bush.

George H.W. Bush passed away Friday at the age of 94.

He served as US President from 1989 to 1993.
