Thousands of protesters on Saturday took to the streets of Venezuela’s capital city of Caracas in support of incumbent President Nicolás Maduro and opposition leader—and his self-proclaimed interim successor—Juan Guaidó, BBC News reported.

Guaidó said the country’s opposition movement would “carry on in the streets,” whereas Maduro told supporters he was the only president of Venezuela.
