North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho said they made realistic proposals at a summit with Donald Trump, but U.S. insisted on one more move beyond dismantling Yongbyon nuclear complex, Reuters reported.
He said North Korea asked Washington to lift parts of sanctions and they could permanently dismantle all nuclear material production.
The sides failed to reach a deal during the summit in Hanoi, and the talks ended earlier than planned. Trump said he rejected a nuclear deal because of unacceptable demands of the North Korean leader to lift sanctions.
