One year ago on this day, the National Assembly (NA) elected Armen Sarkissian as the new President of Armenia.
In this connection, the President’s Facebook page has posted excerpts from the address he had delivered at the legislature, on March 1 of the year past.
Armen Sarkissian’s respective candidacy was nominated last year by preceding President Serzh Sargsyan, who, however, resigned as Prime Minister just two months later, and as a result of nationwide protests.
