No matter how many times they say Armenia has sent humanitarian aid to Syria, Armenia has sent servicemen. This is what politician Haik Martirosyan said during a March 4 press conference.
“These people are not employees of the Ministry of Culture or the Ministry of Healthcare. Whether they are military doctors or deminers, they are servicemen, and they were sent to Syria through cooperation with and under the flag of Russia,” the politician noted.
Martirosyan says Armenia sent a small group of servicemen and provided serious moral support to Russia, but he doesn’t know what Armenia is going to get out of this.
However, he stressed the fact that there is no need to throw the blame on Russia and that the problems need to be sought in Yerevan since Yerevan has a greater responsibility now.
