The United States intends to scrap the preferential trade status granted to Turkey, Bloomberg reported.
According to the source, Trump notified Congress on Monday in letters of his “intent to terminate” trade benefits for both countries under the generalized system of preferences.
Trump believes that over the past 45 years, Turkey’s economy has grown and diversified.
At the same time, such a decision may adversely affect the export of Turkish goods to the United States.
