The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan today acquired the Belarusian electronic warfare complex “Groza-S”, which is designed to intercept the control of any unmanned aerial vehicle, military expert Van Hambardzumyan told Amenian News - NEWS.am.
According to the expert, the Iranians who used this complex even managed to break the communication channel of the American drone MQ-9 Reaper, which was shooting the position of the Iranian troops in Iraq and Syria.
Groza-S has the following characteristics:
Ground control post signals’ radio reconnaissance range (control channel) - up to 10 km
Ground control post receiver jamming range (data and telemetry channel) - up to 10 km
UAV signals’ radio reconnaissance range (data transmission from UAV) - up to 50 km
UAV receiver jamming range (reception of control signals from ground control post) - up to 30 km
UAV navigation receiver jamming range - minimum 40 km
