In 2019, the authorities of Kosovo are preparing to actively lobby to achieve recognition of Pristina’s independence by third countries. This is what Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Rejhan Vuniqi declared, writes RIA Novosti.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects 19 more countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence this year. Until then, we are facing problems and obstruction caused by Serbia’s aggressive lobbying against Kosovo. Kosovo’s diplomats and Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli are lobbying around the world more than ever,” the Deputy FM said.

Earlier, Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivitsa Dachich had said that the Serbian authorities would continue to exert efforts to make sure that the number of countries having recognized Kosovo’s independence decreased and reached the number recorded in 2011. Earlier, the West called on the official Belgrade to minimize diplomats’ activity in order to annul recognition of Kosovo’s independence by third countries.
