Ukrainian border guards won’t let Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili enter the territory of Ukraine on 1 April, the day following the Ukrainian presidential elections. This is what Spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Oleg Slobodyan said.

“This person is not a citizen of Ukraine, and there are no grounds for entry into Ukraine before 2021,” Slobodian told Ukraine-BBC News.

Earlier, Saakashvili had confirmed his statement on his return to Ukraine by showing an electronic ticket on a Ukrainian television channel.
