The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, will be expelled from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London within a few hours or days, Time reported.
According to the source, WikiLeaks tweeted referring to the person who said “the planned expulsion is a response to the organization’s recent tweet linking to a website that alleged money laundering and corruption during Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno’s time as United Nations special envoy for the disabled in Geneva.”
The founder of WikiLeaks has been at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since 2012. He sought asylum in the diplomatic mission in order to avoid extradition to Sweden. In this country, Assange was accused of rape, as well as harassment and coercion into sexual acts. The founder of WikiLeaks also feared deportation to the United States, where he faces up to 35 years in prison or the death penalty for publishing secret Department of State documents.
