The head of the European Council, Donald Tusk, is likely to offer UK a flexible delay in Brexit for up to one year with the possibility of more rapid withdrawal, BBC reported referring to a senior EU source.

According to him, this option may be presented to UK PM Theresa May at the EU Brexit summit on April 10 in Brussels.

He noted that if May accepts the proposal, then Britain will participate in the elections to the European Parliament, which will be held in May.

Brexit is now in doubt, because the UK parliament cannot decide on the terms of the withdrawal.
