The newly appointed US ambassador Lynne Tracy presented the priorities of her mission in Armenia.
In a video posted on the official page of the US Embassy in Armenia on Facebook, Lynne Tracy noted that the US shares many democratic values with Armenia.
“What a great time to be here. Armenia has seen a lot of changes since April 2018. The US and Armenia share many democratic values and I look forward to supporting Armenia’s democratic reform agenda during my tenure here,” she said.
The envoy highly appreciated the Armenian participation in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Afghanistan, as well as country’s cooperation with NATO and the UN.
“I appreciate Armenia’s commitment of troops to peacekeeping operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan and their cooperation with NATO and UN. In today’s world it’s crucial to do all we can to work toward peace and conflict resolution,” she added.
The Ambassador explores Yerevan and talks about her connections to Armenia – including her love of Aram Khachaturyan’s work. And she is already brave enough to try out some words in Armenian.
“I am very happy to be in Armenia” she said in Armenian.
