The UK and the EU came to an agreement to achieve a flexible delay for Brexit until October 31, BBC News reported.

The UK PM Theresa May noted that the UK will still seek to leave the EU as soon as possible. Later, Donald Tusk spoke at a press conference.

European Council president Donald Tusk said the UK could still ratify the withdrawal agreement or choose to "cancel Brexit altogether”.

He added: "Let me finish with a message to our British friends: This extension is as flexible as I expected, and a little bit shorter than I expected, but it's still enough to find the best possible solution. Please do not waste this time.”

Earlier the UK Parliament adopted a bill, under which May agrees to apply to extend the term of the Brexit before June 30 instead of leaving the country from the EU without a deal. The bill has already received a royal sanction.

After that, UK PM Theresa May flew to Berlin for a Brexit summit.
