YEREVAN. – The Yerevan-Vienna flight that was scheduled to take off Tuesday at 4:40am has not been conducted due to technical reasons. The Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The plane is still here right now,” they said. “The flight hasn’t been conducted yet, since there are still problems. Some passengers have changed their tickets for another day, and the airline [Austrian Airlines] has provided food and water to the rest of the passengers.”

The committee added that they cannot yet say exactly when this flight will be carried out.

Austrian Airlines—which was to conduct this flight—also confirmed that it has been canceled, but announced that it will offer alternatives: Either an Austrian Airlines’ flight on another day, or a flight Tuesday on board another airline. For this, however, passengers need to contact the service center, present their airline tickets, or obtain flight information from Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan.
