Chinese companies have temporarily suspended purchases of US agricultural products, the Chinese Commerce Ministry reported.

These measures were taken in response to Washington’s decision to set ten percent tariffs on Chinese goods worth $ 300 billion from September 1, Channel News Asia reported.

The Chinese Committee on Tariffs of the State Council is considering the possibility of increasing import tariffs on supplies of American agricultural products, transactions for which were concluded after August 3.
