The Tbilisi city court partially granted the petition of the prosecutor’s office and chose a security deposit of GEL 40,000 as a preventive measure for the former Rustavi 2 general director Nika Gvaramia, Agende.ge reported.

The prosecutor’s office officially charged Nika Gvaramia with abuse of power According to the investigation, Guaramia did not demand about GEL 6.8 million (about $ 2.3 million) from InterMedia Plus, with which it concluded a deal to transfer the right to advertise.

Meanwhile, Guaramia himself claims that he is not going to make a deposit. The court has already stated that if the deposit is not paid, the preventive measure may be changed to a stricter one - the conclusion.
