Additional tariffs imposed by China and the United States on each other’s goods came into effect on Sunday, Reuters reported.

China imposed a 5% tariff on U.S. crude, and this is the first time when fuel is targeted by the countries.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration will begin collecting 15% tariffs on more than $125 billion in Chinese imports, including smart speakers, Bluetooth headphones and many types of footwear.

Overall, extra tariffs were imposed on 1,717 items of a total of 5,078 products originating from the United States.
