It was decided to submit a corresponding bill in order for water users to have a fair legal right to know whether they can apply for water distribution and whether they can use the appropriate mechanisms to implement this distribution, said Prosperous Armenia party MP Mikayel Melkumyan.
Thanks to this bill, beneficiaries will be able to know what to do in the event of a shortage of water in their area, he said.
“We propose that citizens from a particular area where there are such problems have the opportunity to receive information about how much water a particular user receives at this stage,” the deputy noted.
According to Melkumyan, this will also allow the increasing control over the use of water in the republic.
The package of bills received a unanimous positive opinion of the members of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission.
