During a visit to Doha, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that construction of a new Turkish military base in Qatar is over, reports Sabah.

According to him, the joint force command of Ankara and Doha is the guarantee of peace and stability in not only Qatar, but also the Persian Gulf. Erdogan also stated that Turkey “has never left its friends during threats and risks”.

Seven agreements on economy, urban development, trade, industry, technologies and standardization were signed during the visit.
