Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan called on the population and business circles of his country to abandon the dollar and use the Turkish lira in the calculations. 

His remarks came in parliament, TASS reported.

According to him, the recovery process is in full swing in their economy. All numbers indicate this. And they still tell them that they are sinking.

The President urged to back lira and abandon dollars.

According to him, everyone who believed in the country and invested in it won and will continue to win.

Over the past years, Turkey has been trying to reduce the share of dollars in trade operations, mainly in the foreign trade sphere. Ankara systematically concludes intergovernmental agreements on the transition to settlements in national currencies.
