Since its inception, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body has never had an employee by the name of Artur Hayrapetyan. This is what the news service of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of Armenia told Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the news according to which Artur Hayrapetyan, who works as head of division at the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, has been arrested and is suspected of keeping and using narcotic drugs.

The Inspection Body also reported that there is no subdivision called “Division for Ecotourism Support and Development”, and so Artur Hayrapetyan can’t be the head of that division.

When asked if any other employee of the Inspection Body has been arrested as a suspect, the Inspection Body gave a negative response.

Earlier, Shamshyan.com had reported that on November 22, police officers apprehended a couple of citizens from the area near the Vernisazh flea market in Yerevan and took them to the police station, suspecting them of keeping and using narcotic drugs. Among those citizens is Artur Hayrapetyan, who works as head of division at the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body.
