Over the past few days, the political agenda in Armenia is flooded with discourse over foreign policy. This is stated in the statement issued by the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party.
“On the one hand, the “mistakes” and omissions of the authorities of the Republic of Armenia in the talks over the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have contributed to the targeted attacks of several political and apolitical forces, including extremist groups against Armenia’s statehood (these forces and groups are advocating a war against the Armenian authorities and are justifying their actions by declaring that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia are a network of foreign agents). On the other hand, the US Senate, by adopting a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide, has intensified Turkey and Azerbaijan which are applying their networks of agents and lobbyists to succeed in the campaign against Armenia and for the purpose of causing blows to Artsakh.
Thus, according to the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party, the Republic of Armenia and all Armenians of the world are facing a challenge, and overcoming this challenge will require the efforts of aware forces and consolidation for the security of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian nation, sustainable progress and eternity,” the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party states and calls on all national and political forces of Armenia and abroad to do the following:
“support the strengthening and reinforcement of Armenia’s positions in foreign policy, regardless of the existing regime and persons in the country.
For this purpose, the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party has undertaken and will continue to undertake a number of actions in domestic and foreign politics.”
