A brutal murder took place today in Kotayk Province of Armenia.

At about 11am, Hrazdan town police received a report that there was a man's dead body in an apartment.

Police and investigators found the dead body of Robert Hakhverdyan, 51, in the living room of the said apartment, and the room was in a state of chaos, according to shamshyan.com.

As per the forensic doctor's initial conclusion, there were traces of blows on the victim’s head and various parts of his body.

His neighbors said he was living alone, and his sister resides abroad.

The man had previously been convicted and he liked to drink alcohol.
