YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: Zhoghovurd daily has learned that by the instruction of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a meeting-discussion was held with the private sector.

Zhoghovurd daily has learned that one of the issues raised during the meeting with businessmen is that if an organization has outstanding tax liabilities (around 500,000 drams), its business operations are suspended and an attachment is imposed on the taxpayer's property, which creates unfavorable conditions for businesses.

And the Ministry of Economy has drafted a proposal to amend Article 430 (1) of the Tax Code and apply this restriction only if tax evasion is below a certain threshold.

Businessmen hope that a favorable legal framework will be created for the operation of industrial companies.
