Azerbaijan’s operations on the border with Georgia aren’t troubling. This is what Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Artak Davtyan told journalists today.
In response to the question about the creation of a new Azerbaijani military base on the border with Georgia close to Armenia’s border, the army general clarified that this is about strengthening of military positions, not the creation of a new military base. “This isn’t troubling for Armenia. This is the Georgian government’s problem,” the army general stressed, adding that the statements on control over the gas pipeline don’t correspond to reality.
