The US Department of State approved the sale of 12 F-35 fighter jets and related equipment to Singapore at an estimated price of $ 2.75 billion pending Congressional approval, the US Security and Defense Cooperation Agency reported.
The sale will include equipment from Lockheed and engine maker Pratt and Whitney.
Singapore defense department said formal purchase conditions would be agreed upon after Congressional approval.
