YEREVAN. – In 2019, employees of the Aviation Security Service of “Zvartnots” International Airport in Yerevan have found one weapon, 111 bullets, in restricted and special restricted areas - 1824 objects containing a sum of money equivalent to about USD 28,000, as well as precious and semiprecious jewelry, documents and other personal belongings, and three cases of theft have been prevented. This is said in a post on the Facebook of Zvartnots International Airport.

“Emphasizing the importance of the service provided by each employee of the airport and especially the role of aviation security staff in safety and uninterrupted operation of the airport, we would like to express our gratitude to them for their proper and responsible work throughout the year,” the post also reads. “And we urge our passengers to be more attentive to personal belongings, to refrain from attempting to carry prohibited items or materials, and to cause problems for other passengers.”
