Upon his decision, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan annulled his own Decision NO-16-L of 30 January 2020 “On convening an extraordinary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia”, as reported the National Assembly.

Yesterday the National Assembly posted news on its website according to which the National Assembly will convene an extraordinary session on February 6 to consider the package of bills on making amendments and supplements to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the law on referendum and the law on the Constitutional Court in the first and second readings.

Head of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly Edmon Marukyan touched upon the agenda of the February 6 extraordinary session and particularly stated that such fundamental amendments shouldn’t be made through an extraordinary procedure.
