Armenia intends to increase the allowance for 433 children under the age of 14 years, deprived of parental care and having mental disorders, said the co-author of the bill, chair of the Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs, My Step ruling bloc MP Narek Zeynalyan.

According to him, the number of beneficiaries was initially much larger, however, during the discussions within the profile commission, it turned out that the state could not take on such significant expenses that exceeded several billion drams.

"Thus, we have decided to increase the allowance for the most vulnerable group of people," he noted.

As he noted, it was originally envisaged to increase the allowance for persons with mental disabilities or who received a third group of disability - for almost 30 thousand people.

“Expenditures from the state budget would be almost AMD 4 billion,” the MP added.
