Lebanese authorities have lifted most COVID-19 restrictions imposed in March.

According to law enforcement, the authorities reduced the curfew hours from 12 am to 5 am.

The work of state institutions is fully resumed, museums, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and casinos are opening. Gas stations, factories, meat processing plants, supermarkets, and confectioneries are switching to around-the-clock schedule, TASS reported.

Public parks, stadiums, gymnasiums, entertainment centers, and night clubs will remain closed in early June.

On April 27, the Lebanese government launched a phased implementation of the plan to resume economic activity after a two-month break, but in mid-May, the authorities were forced to interrupt its implementation due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

According to statistics, Lebanon has confirmed a total of 1,220 cases.
