The Chinese authorities will take the most radical measures to eliminate the COVID-19 outbreak in Beijing,  TASS reported referring to the Beijing's municipal government spokesman Xu Hejian.

According to him, they must take the most decisive, most radical, and severe measures to combat the virus and now this is the most important task that needs to be addressed immediately.

The official told a briefing that the city had an extremely serious epidemiological situation. 

An outbreak of coronavirus was recorded last week in Beijing's largest Xinfadi wholesale market. Most of the infected are employees of outlets, their relatives, and friends.
