Yerevan's new patrol service will be launched next spring. 

Armenian deputy minister of justice Kristine Grigoryan and Deputy Chief of Police Tigran Yesayan provided the details.

The deputy minister recalled that the idea was approved in April this year by the government as part of the police reform strategy.

Yesayan, in turn, noted that the service will first be created in Yerevan and then in other provinces.

In just a few days, several hundred citizens of both genders have already applied. Applications are accepted until August 7, but it is possible that the deadlines will be extended if there is a large flow.

Those who will join the ranks will conclude a five-year deal, the details of which can be found on the justice ministry and police's websites.
