Aurora Humanitarian Initiative today hosted a remote discussion that was dedicated to International Day of Charity and entitled “Why You Should Work for a Non-Commercial Organization”.

Among the participants were Professor of the University of Georgetown, leadership specialist Sam Potolicchio; Secretary General of the International Catholic Migration Commission Robert Vitillo and founder of Mae Tao Hospital Cynthia Maung.

The interlocutors touched upon the pros and cons of working for a non-commercial organization, career opportunities in this sector, including from the perspective of accomplishing personal and professional goals.

During the discussion, the participants underscored the importance of expanding opportunities for women and girls to receive an education and acquire professional skills, as well as the importance of more intensive work for migrants and refugees who don’t have an opportunity to observe anti-epidemiological measures during the pandemic and can’t fully benefit from the blessings of civilization.
