“Turkey will not re-establish relations with Armenia unless Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is resolved,” Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated in an interview with ANS TV.
“If Azerbaijan and Armenia fail to normalize relations and find a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Turkey will not mend fences with Armenia either. Certainly, first Azerbaijan and Armenia should make a decision on the issue,” Erdogan noted.
Turkish premier also said that to date the OSCE Minsk Group failed to find a solution to the conflict. He stressed that the dispute may be solved, in case Armenia and Azerbaijan make moves in a positive direction: “Otherwise I do not see any solution to this issue. Though Minsk Group has been operating about 20 years, it failed to achieve any results. I wonder what the MG can do today, if it failed during the recent 20 years,” Erdogan said.
