YEREVAN.- Four parties would poll over 5% of votes if parliamentary elections took place this Sunday, said Director of the Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan.
“Even without public opinion polls it is clear that the Republican Party, Prosperous Armenia, Armenian National Congress and ARF Dashnaktsutyun will gain seats in the parliament,” he told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
However, he doubts that the Heritage and Orinats Yerkir, the parties presently represented in the National Assembly, can poll 5% of votes noting that situation may change during election campaign.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for May 2012.
