The number of injured in the 7.3-magnitude earthquake in Japan on Saturday has exceeded 50, Kyodo reports.
At the same time, Japanese Prime Minister Suga told reporters in the early hours of Sunday that major casualties and a large number of injured have not been reported.
"We are still in the process of confirming reports on the devastation and affected, but so far no information has been received on the scale [of the devastation]," said the PM, who came to his office almost immediately after the quake, and where he is heading a task force in connection with this seismic activity.
Suga reiterated that the Japanese nuclear facilities were not damaged by this natural disaster.
Also, the PM called on the locals to be prepared for the aftershocks and not to go out to the streets at night, TASS reports.
