Bahrain is the first country to launch a digital passport for COVID-19 vaccinations, Reuters reported.
The Bahraini BeAware app displays green light next to the official certificate that lists the person's name, date of birth, citizenship, and vaccine.
Users must receive two doses of the vaccine 21 days apart and then wait two weeks for antibodies to develop.
Authorities can verify its validity by scanning the QR code of the national vaccine registry.
Denmark has said it will launch an initial version of the coronavirus vaccination passport by the end of February.
Sweden also plans to launch a similar passport by summer.
