The 99-year-old husband of the UK Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, was discharged from the hospital, according to BBC News.

Prince Philip was admitted to the hospital on February 16. Before a hospitalization, he complained for several days over heath issues. 

On March 1, Philip was transferred to St. Bartholomew's Hospital for examination over chronic heart disease.

Two days later, he underwent heart surgery and recovered after 29 days in the hospital. This is the longest inpatient treatment he has received in recent years. The reason for the hospitalization was an infectious disease not linked to a new COVID-19 infection.

Both Philip and Elizabeth II are vaccinated against the coronavirus.
