YEREVAN. - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Yerevan city Center department of emergency services Shtapbujognutyun CJSC on Thursday. The president got familiarized with the procedure of ambulance service modernization. 

Under Government’s Strategy of modernization of emergency medical services, the authorities plan to upgrade the vehicles, to introduce a common system of administration of first aid, a global navigation system, a monitoring system, to develop appropriate criteria for services and to hold special education and training programs. A part of these activities has already been implemented, while another part is still in process.

Chinese Government provided the Government of Armenia with 88 ambulances. The document on transfer-acceptance was signed by Armenian Minister of Health during the President’s visit, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
