STEPANAKERT. – Last week over 200 ceasefire violations (over 600 shots fired) by the Azerbaijani side were registered in the frontline between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.

The shelling was particularly intensive on June 18, 19 and 22 when the opponent fired about 400 times at the Armenian positions.

Despite the mentioned facts, Azerbaijani press pursued its traditional policy of misleading international community ahead of the meeting of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents. Azerbaijani press reported a 19-year-old soldier was allegedly injured in the ceasefire violation by the Armenian side.

Nagorno-Karabach (Artsakh) Defense Army’s press service informed Armenia News-NEWS.am the Azerbaijani press claims were false.

Source did not rule out that an incident may have occurred in the Azerbaijani army. Thus, the Azerbaijani side again tried to blame Armenians.

The Defense Army’s units confidently maintain the ceasefire regime and are not subjected to provocations, press service reported.
