YEREVAN. - Despite of a great number of loud statements before Kazan meeting, the reality is it actually came to naught, said the director of Armenian Center for strategic and National Studies Manvel Sargsyan to journalists on Thursday.

“The last meeting put it clear that there are certain problems, and solution of these problems will create a framework for adoption of fundamental principles. The overall estimation to the outcome of Armenian, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents’ meeting in Kazan was general disappointment. It is noteworthy that OSCE co-chairing countries did not come up with official assessment of the meeting so far, which in itself makes the situation intriguing. We must be particularly careful in after-meeting period in order to oversee the possible developments in future,” stressed the expert.

He reminded that before Kazan meeting OSCE Minsk Group French co-chair Bernard Fassier stated that he does not expect significant progress and Minsk Group will have to revise its approaches and the overall concept of the conflict.

Sargsyan concluded that in the event of certain factors, conflict settlement process will undergo major changes.
