YEREVAN.- A group of young people gathered near the Yerevan city hall on Friday to protest against rise in subway fares.
The protestors handed in a letter to the Yerevan Mayor, one of the participants told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In a letter they asked to review subway fare as increase will not contribute to the improvement of underground.
Under the decision of Yerevan Mayor, fares on underground will increase twice reaching AMD 100 ($ 0.27) against AMD 50 from July 1.
