YEREVAN.- Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received on Monday Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization (WTO) Taleb Rifai.

President Sargsyan stressed that tourism becomes more important in global economy and is solving political and cultural problems, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Tourism is a priority field of Armenia’s economy and has a great potential which should be fully realized, he said.

“Armenia attaches importance to tourism development and we are glad to be a member of World Tourism Organization for 15 years. We have good prospects for cooperation in the future,” he added.
