YEREVAN.- This May 75,000 businessmen were officially registered in Armenia, 52,000 out of them (70%) are women, national statistical service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As compared to 2010 the female unemployment rate is declining more rapidly than among men.

The number of unemployed women, in comparison with 2010, has decreased by almost 12% and men - only by 5%.

The reason probably lies in the development of economy areas (in particular, light industry), thanks to which some 8,000 women have found job.

The unemployment rate in Armenia went down to 6.6% as compared to 7.3% last year.
