A violent fire engulfed the Bridge of Industries in the south of Rome on Saturday evening. 

According to the newspaper La Repubblica on Sunday, there are no casualties in the fire, TASS reported.

Built in 1862-1863, the Iron Bridge, as the Romans call it, connects the Marconi and Ostiense districts in the south of the Italian capital. Due to the fire, several parts of the structure collapsed into the Tiber. As a result of the accident, many houses in Ostiense were left without electricity, water, and gas.

The causes of the fire have not yet been established, all versions are being considered. According to the newspaper, according to some evidence, the fire initially occurred in the buildings located under the structure.
