YEREVAN. – One can only be jealous when both Armenian authorities and ‘titular opposition’ have the same disposition on almost all issues including controversial Karabakh conflict resolution, opposition Heritage party MP Larisa Alaverdyan told journalists on Saturday.
She thinks the dialogue between Armenian authorities and opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) that is scheduled for next two months is a positive thing, otherwise the country would split into two camps and influence of external powers would intensify.
Regarding the dialogue, Alaverdyan told that authorities assume that only ANC (which is not represented in Armenian parliament) is an oppositional power. At the same time, authorities do not discuss any issue with parliamentary opposition. Thus, only the authorities will benefit from the dialogue with opposition, concluded the MP.
